At this time, Guatemala is not requiring visitors to be COVID vaccinated.  However, Las Obras may require proof of vaccination for all volunteers to enter the facilities.

• An Orientation and Question and Answer session will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Robert's Catholic Church, in the evening with Mass at 6:30pm and meeting to follow at 7:15pm. 

• Flight Information - The participant is charged actual flight cost and could range from  - $750.00 to $1,000.00. (Subject to change - you can see updated cost of flights on the United Website)
  • Departure from St. Robert's Catholic Church (El Campo) on Charter Bus at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023 for Houston Intercontinental Airport for United Airlines Flight departing at approximately 9:45am. 
  • Landing in Guatemala City at approximately 11:45am - and after gathering luggage and going through customs, will board a bus to Antigua, Guatemala, we will make a brief stop at the local Wal-Mart, then proceed for a one hour drive through scenic countryside.
  • Departure from Antigua, Guatemala at approximately 9:30 am, Sunday, July 16, 2023 and travel by bus to Guatemala City Airport for United Airlines Flight departing for Houston at approximately 12:35pm. 
  • Landing in Houston at approximately 5pm and after gathering luggage and going through customs, will board a Charter Bus to St. Robert's Catholic Church, arrival in El Campo at approximately 7pm.

Cost Approximately: $300.00 - $400.00

• Charter bus transportation to and from St. Robert's and Houston Intercontinental Airport.
• Group bus transportation the entire week while in Guatemala, including the day trip to Lake Atitlan.
  • This does not include any personal taxi transportation in Guatemala that you may choose to take rather than walking.
• Miscellaneous supplies for the trip.

• It is required that you sign up for this FREE emergency evacuation coverage with the Catholic Mutual Group/Travel Guard insurance provided through the Diocese of Victoria.

• It is recommended that you take out travel insurance. United Airlines recommends Allianz Travel Insurance.
  • The price ranges from $76.00 - $110.00 depending on the level of coverage you would like.

• We will be housed at the beautiful Hotel Quinta De Las Flores - a 15-minute walk from the Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro. All members of the group MUST be housed at Hotel Quinta De Las Flores.
• Cost of housing depends on your accommodation preference. 

• Corridor room cost for the week:
  • Single accommodation - $525.00 per person.
  • Double accommodations - $262.50 per person.
• Garden Room cost for the week:
  • Single accommodation - $630.00 per person.
  • Double accommodations - $315.00 per person. 
• Casitas - a small house that will hold 4 maximum.
  • Single accommodation $1,120.00 per person.
  • Double accommodations $560.00 per person.
  • Triple accommodations, $338.00 per person.
  • Quad accommodations $280.00 per person. 

• Meals are not provided, please plan to bring approximately $25.00 - $30.00 a day for meals.
• Breakfast Option - you will have the opportunity to eat at the hotel (at your own expense).
• Lunch Option - sack lunches will be available to make for work days.
• Dinner Option - hotel offers dinner or dine at a local restaurant (at your own expense).

• You must be 18 to attend the mission trip.
• A copy of your passport, or proof that you have applied for your passport, is required when the deposit is paid. (Passport must be obtained before May 1, 2023).
• A copy of your vaccination card must be provided.
